Mehri Center for studies and research published it’s seventh book ( “The Mehri Folk Tale – A Morphological Approach in the Light of Probe’s Method, Hazit Lilanot as a Model” ) by the researcher Dr. Mosaad Amer Sidon Kelchat, where he tries to analyze the literary discourse (morphology) in the Mehri tale according to the method of the Russian scholar Vladimir Prob in 145 pages.
The book consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter talks about folk literature of Mahra (its concept, value, and forms) in addition to the community in which the study took place, which is the Saqr area in Huswain District.
The second chapter is devoted to the research methodology and its concepts. It defines the folk tale in terms of language and terminology, edited the word (hazit), and detailed the mechanisms and functions of morphological analysis.
The third chapter deals with (Hazit Lilanut), and this folk tale is presented in the Mehri language and translated into Arabic, to be followed by analysis (the path of functions, structures of the tale, its characters, temporal structure, spatial structure).
It is worth mentioning that the book is expected to be available in the cities of Al-Ghaydah (Aden Library) and Salalah (Khazanat Al-Ahqaf Library) in the coming days.
