Mehri Language Center for Studies and Research Publishes Its Seventh Edition


Mehri Language Center for Studies and Research has issued a book (The Mahari Folk Tale: A Morphological Approach in the Light of Probe’s Approach.. Hazzit Lilanot as a Model) by the researcher Dr. Mosaad Amer Sidon Kalashat, which is 145 pages , and attempts to analyze the literary discourse (morphology) in the Mahari tale According to the approach of the Russian scientist Vladimir Prob.

The book consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter talks about folk literature in Al Mahra (its concept, value, and forms) in addition to the community in which the study took place, which is the Saqr area in Huswain District.

The second chapter is devoted to the research methodology and its concepts. It defines the folk tale in terms of language and terminology, edited the word (hazit), and detailed the mechanisms and functions of morphological analysis.

The third chapter deals with (Hazit Lilanut), and he elaborates this folk tale in Mehri and translates it into Arabic, to be followed by analysis (the path of functions, structures of the tale, its characters, temporal structure, spatial structure).

It is expected that the book will be available in  (Aden Library) in the cities of Ghaydah and (Khazanat Al-Ahqaf Library) in Salalah in coming days.
